They also finished fourth in the Sunfoil Series.
One of the most exciting aspects of the past twelve months was the international debuts of Dane Piedt and Stiaan van Zyl.
The emergence of new prospects was also gratifying, while a few stalwarts turned the proverbial corner with potentially career-altering performances.
Omphile Ramela struck 724 runs in the Sunfoil Series, while Dane Paterson was the leading wicket-taker in the four-day competition with 42 scalps. Both players excelled in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge finals. Paterson took four for 33 at Newlands and Ramela struck 54 in the win against the Chevrolet Knights.
Richard Levi was the leading national run-scorer in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, while Andrew Puttick compiled a remarkable 652 runs in the Momentum One Day Cup competition.
Robin Peterson was the leading wicket-taker in the domestic 50-over competition, nipping out 18 batsmen. Rory Kleinveldt accounted for 13 dismissals.
The spinner George Linde emerged with enormous credit in the T20-competition by taking 14 wickets as left-arm spinner.
The West Indian professional Kieron Pollard was sensational in the shortest format, as he averaged 81 with the bat and also nabbed out 14 batsmen.
Justin Kemp managed 374 first-class runs for the Cobras.
Justin Ontong, a long-serving successful captain of the Cobras, slammed 478 runs at an average of 58.87 in the domestic four-day showpiece.
He captained South Africa in a T20-International and also reached an individual milestone of 10 000 first-class runs during the 2014/2015-season.
Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn were splendid for the Cobras in their brief appearances in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge.
Beuran Hendricks, Dane Piedt, Van Zyl, Kleinveldt and Ontong also made their mark for South Africa A against the England Lions.
