A third benefit is to witness the duel between two of the most exciting fast bowlers in the country, the South African pace merchants Wayne Parnell and Rory Kleinveldt, and the swashbuckling top-order of the Warriors at PPC Newlands on Sunday.
Paul Adams, the Cape Cobras coach, said Yaseen Vallie has been the anchor man for the Warriors this season, and it has allowed the stroke-makers Colin Ingram and Jon-Jon Smuts to play around him.
The Warriors chased down a total of 327 in the first Momentum One Day Cup match of the season (against The Unlimited Titans) and reached it with a ball to spare.
Adams acknowledged that the Cobras have made significant progress in their double-header of the weekend thanks to improved intensity and their game awareness.
Currently second on the Momentum One Day Cup log, Adams has implored his Cape Cobras charges to improve their consistency even more.
The off-spinner SA Engelbrecht past a fitness test on Wednesday and is set to join the Cape Cobras squad for the matches against the Sunfoil Dolphins (at Kingsmead on Friday 23rd October) and on Sunday at PPC Newlands against the Warriors.
Kleinveldt, a stalwart for Northamptonshire in the 2015-season, taking 57 wickets in 13 championship-matches, and Parnell, who removed seven scalps in his first two matches for the Cape Cobras, have the potential to turn a match on its head with a devastating burst of speed and swing.
Andrew Puttick, who hammered 652 runs for the Cape Cobras in the domestic limited-over showpiece in 2014/2015, will return to the top of the order and will also take the gloves in the absence of the India-bound Dane Vilas.
The winner will be drawn randomly by the computer before the lunch or dinner break and announced on the field of play as the players & officials leaves the field, so FANgS must scan their tickets and listen if their ticket number is the lucky one! Remember, the winner has to be physically present at the stadium on match day to qualify for the prize.
Only ticket holders of 18 years and older are eligible for the draw.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to have his or her photo or video taken for marketing purposes. The winner’s money will be transferred into his/her account when Western Cape Cricket (Pty) Ltd receives a copy of the bank statement to verify an account number.
