At the moment the Cape Cobras are sitting pretty at the top of the Sunfoil Series log with their points on 57.94. The Dolphins are on 49.74 points and the game on Thursday could decide who will claim top stop at this stage.
The Dolphins will be coming into this game with a lot of confidence as they thumped the Chevrolet Warriors by an innings and 45 runs. They will be very happy with the way their batsmen performed, scoring 426 all out in their first innings and not having to bat a second.
The Cape Cobras on the other hand showed that they can perform with bat and ball, scoring 255 runs in their first innings and bowling out the Lions for a mere 119 runs in theirs.
Dane Patterson looked in great form in the last game coming away with overall figures of 7 wickets for 94 runs.
Justin Ontong (88 off 125) and Yaseen Vallie (70 off 151) both scored good runs in their first innings but failed to score in the second as Lonwabo Tsotsobe ripped through the batting attack of the Cape Cobras, claiming 5 wickets for 33 runs in his 12 overs.
The Cape Cobras were bowled out for 101 in their 2nd innings so the team will be concentrating on their batting this week.
Going on past results the game against the Dolphins should be a tightly contested game, seeing as the Cape Cobras will be wanting to make right for the loss against the Dolphins in the RAMSlam T20 Challenge Final.
