Left-arm spinner George Linde picked up four wickets for 69 runs to give WP a lead of 31 runs in the first innings. Francois Plaatjies and Matthew Kleinvedt finished with 3 for 31 and 3 for 35 respectively.
WP found themselves in the same predicament they were in in the first innings when Dillon Stanley again dismissed captain Kleinveldt in the third ball of their innings. At one stage they were 30 for 3. David Bedingham came in was patiently making his way well to his maiden half century before Stanley denied him just two runs short.
Off-breaker Imran Manack finished with 4 for 45 to reduce WP to 118 for 8 at close of play. They lead by 155 runs with two wickets remaining.
