David Bedingham’s 101 runs off 160 balls was not enough to seal victory for the home side as they were bowled out for 285 runs in the second innings leaving EP with a target 140 runs to win. EP’s fast bowler, Anrich Nortje returned home with overall match winning figures of 7/91 in 43 overs.
EP did not experience much difficulties in reaching the target as the 49-run opening partnership between Schalk Conradie and Kirwin Christoffels which was followed by a 54-run second wicket partnership between Christoffels and Brydon Carse sealed victory for the visitors who won the match seven wickets.
This lose has put WP in second position in the CSA Provincial Three Day Under 19 Competition log, seven points behind logs leaders Eastern Province.
