WP scored 374 runs in the 101.4 overs in the first innings and secured a lead of 112 runs. Pieter Malan (91) and Matthew Kleinveldt (70) laid a solid 157 runs opening partnership which was followed by a 59-run second wicket between Kleinveldt and Lesiba Ngoepe (78).
Right-Arm fast medium, Ayabulela Gqamane picked up four wickets for 47 runs to prevent the home side from a significant lead in the first innings.
The visitors denied WP any chance to bat in the second innings when they batted the match to the last ball on the third and final day. Marco Marais finished unbeaten with 104 runs behind his name and was assisted by Martin Walters and Jerry Nqolo who scored 65 and 66 respectively to help their side finish the match with 312 runs for 7 in 87.1 overs.
This result has left WP in the third position in the log and are 33 points behind log leaders, North West.
