The festival has been a tradition that dates back more than 20 years when both unions, WPCA and Boland, decided that it was essential to have a festival that exposed the skill set and talents of young players in the Province.
Both regions’ A sides, from all the age-groups will go head-to-head in a series of fifty over matches prior to the Cricket South Africa (CSA) National Youth Weeks, in December.
WPCA are delighted to host their neighbours after last year’s riveting spectacle in Boland.
“We are happy to host such a prestigious festival alongside our counterparts. This should be a fantastic weekend for the game of cricket in the province,” expressed Camillah Adams, WP Youth Co-ordinator.
“We hope the participating boys and girls will enjoy and express themselves well on the field of play throughout this festival,” she concluded.
WPCC and Rondebosch Boys’ High will be the host venues throughout the festival.
Furthermore, all matches are to start at 10am (unless indicated otherwise).
